Bikers, start your engines and get ready to feast your eyes on Harley Davidson's most badass rides yet - the 2024 CVO collection!
This line-up of limited-edition power cruisers takes the Harley Davidson experience to a whole new level of custom attitude and authority. These special edition 'Custom Vehicle Operations' have always been the most badass bikes in the Harley range, but the new models are truly next-generation machines.
Leading the charge is the new CVO Street Glide, a menacing mile-muncher packing a 121 cubic-inch Milwaukee-Eight VVT. With a twist of the throttle, this beast unleashes a claimed 127 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque of pavement-devouring torque - enough oomph to put a gleeful grin on any rider's face. Draped in paint combos like Legendary Orange+ and Copperhead, the Street Glide backs its bark with bite.
The CVO Road Glide is back to stir things up too. Doused in paint schemes with names like Legendary Orange+ and Copperhead, these machines look fast...because they are! Under the hood lurks the Milwaukee-Eight 121 VVT, delivering a pavement-pulverizing 127 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. More power than any Harley before - say hello to your new king of the streets!
Joining the Road Glide is the new CVO Road Glide ST, optimized for long-haul touring. The CVO Road Glide ST is Harley-Davidson's fastest and most advanced performance touring motorcycle yet. Its new Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output engine produces 12 more horsepower and 8 Nm more torque than the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine. With a top speed electronically limited to 120 mph, it is the quickest Grand American Touring bike Harley-Davidson has ever offered. To boost acceleration in every gear, a 30-tooth rear sprocket provides a lower final drive ratio than the 32-tooth sprocket on the CVO Road Glide model.
To meet the demands of aggressive riders, the bike has premium adjustable suspension components. The rear features Showa remote reservoir shocks, while the front has 47mm Showa forks, both with adjustable preload and rebound/compression damping.
Weight reduction is key for higher performance. The CVO Road Glide ST has Screamin' Eagle Extreme Flow titanium slip-on mufflers, which use lightweight oval titanium shells and forged carbon fiber end caps to reduce weight by 30% compared to the stock mufflers. Forged carbon fiber also makes up the front fender, seat cowl, and tank console, left unpainted to display the material. Overall, the new CVO Road Glide ST weighs just 800 lbs dry, 25 lbs less than the CVO Road Glide.
To handle the power and performance, the bike has a 6-inch riser handlebar with a flat bend, putting the rider in an aggressive posture. The solo seat has a raised rear bolster to hold the rider in place during hard acceleration.
Harley pulled out all the stops on the 2024 CVO lineup, packing premium components like 300mm brakes, reflex linked Brembo calipers, BOOM! Box infotainment and plush, comfortable seating. Bells and whistles like adaptive Daymaker LED headlights increase visibility so you can own the night.
Ready to get your hands on these torque monsters? The 2024 CVO models start around £42,000, putting them in a class of their own versus standard Harleys. But legendary power, prestige and head-turning style doesn't come cheap.
The immense engineering efforts is why they justify their high price tags which to me sounds fair, however, the price of new yearly models is always a bone of contention among the consumers. Very few of us can afford a bike like these but for those that can, they will be getting the ultimate cruiser!
Don't sleep on Harley's 2024 CVO lineup. With insane specs and luxury fit and finish, these are the apex predators of the cruiser world.
